I'm a new resident in the UAE and dealing with an agent (Basheer) has been an absolute nightmare! We were supposed to get our rental apartment on Aug 1st. He kept us hanging and when we finally got the key today (1.5 months later) the house is a mess. The previous tenants furniture is lying there and the house and AC ducts haven't been cleaned. We pushed our furniture delivery 12 times because of empty promises and ended up being charged by the company for having to storing it over a month. To make things worse, the agent yells at us over the phone and tells us this is how rental properties work in Dubai. My family has been traumatised and we are exhausted just following up with the agent and begging for our rights along with following up with the contractor who was working in the house. The agent took no responsibility and made us deal with the contractor! This has been the worst experience of my life. I would not recommend this agent to my worst enemy.
